I have talented friends: tree ditty

I am a Tree

I am a tree and my roots run deep
Everyone and no one lies in me

My roots are embedded deep in the soil
And I shall not fall

The Sun may scorch
Storms may blow
The earth may quake beneath my veins

But my roots are deep and I remain

I remain to see another day
hear another song
taste another rain
love another life than my own.

Enjoy the vastness of the land
Simple sunsets
A school girl swing
Carved out love

I am a tree and my roots run deep
My roots run deep and I am Me

Just a little something for a Gloomy June morning

I put together this little outfit last week. Cheap lil skirt , stolen white scarf(sorry Ryan) , and a black cardigan from the goodwill.

Sunsets lost in
Skies of hazy greys
June gloom sets in
Puts me in a daze

Plans

I'm really looking forward to this weekend, I'm building masks for  Lightning in a Bottle !! the plan is to use the same process that I used to create my Zebra mask, with sticky brown paper strips in stead of regular paper mache', it's really easy and far less messy! Cowboy and I are planning on geeking out on our stilts and becoming Egyptian Gods (Anubis and Bastet )... I'm just excited to make masks again :-)

Doo Dah Parading

This costume was featured in the LA Weekly from the Pasadena Doo Dah Parade: I had found these fabulous stripey red and white tights, and just had to go with the sailor girl theme.. note the anchor bows!

Mid-week Costuming

Last Wednesday night I was invited to perform at an event in Hollywood. So I put together this little outfit. Consisting of: Black fishnets, black boots, black booty shorts, black bra, a cream vintage camisole, brown pocket belt and my black handmade holster top. top all that off with my new ModCloth necklace and a mask I may or may not have taken from an event in San Diego and Voila.. the really fabulous thing is that I had dressed my lovely friend April in the same getup so we were matching hoopers!
